PUTRAJAYA: The Road Transport Department (JPJ) has officially rolled out cashless payment services at all its counters nationwide, enabling transactions to be made through popular e-wallet apps such as Touch ‘n Go, GrabPay, MAE and Boost.
The initiative was launched by JPJ director-general Datuk Aedy Fadly Ramli at the JPJ Galeria on Friday (Aug 29).
“This initiative is faster, safer and more practical, while aligning with the modern lifestyle of today’s society,” he said during the launch.
According to JPJ, the department successfully collected RM5.6bil through 46.5 million cashless transactions made via counters and the MyJPJ application as of Aug 24, 2025.
Of this, 245,626 transactions were completed using e-wallets, amounting to RM19.6mil.
Datuk Aedy stressed that the move was part of JPJ’s commitment to improving customer convenience and efficiency in line with the government’s digitalisation agenda.
Also present at the event were JPJ deputy director-general (Planning and Operations) Datuk Jazmanie Shafawi, senior director of enforcement Muhammad Kifli Ma Hassan, state directors, division heads, as well as representatives from e-wallet service providers and media members.
