Motorcyclist killed and delivery rider gravely injured in NKVE hit-and-run


SHAH ALAM: A motorcyclist was killed and another gravely injured after a hit and run incident here.

Shah Alam OCPD Asst Comm Mohd Iqbal Ibrahim said the incident occurred at around 2.30am on Sunday (Aug 24) along KM1.2 of the New Klang Valley Expressway (NKVE).

A 16-year-old motorcyclist had fallen while riding, prompting a 22-year-old delivery rider to stop and assist him.

An unknown vehicle then collided with both individuals without warning.

"The collision resulted in the death of the 16-year-old, while the other victim sustained serious head injuries and was taken to Shah Alam Hospital for treatment," he said.

ACP Iqbal added that investigations are underway and urged witnesses to contact traffic investigating officer Insp Nur Iqmal Maisarah Azman at 017-283 6851.
