Man calls police on himself after allegedly killing girlfriend in Sungai Buloh

SUNGAI BULOH: A man called the police on himself after allegedly killing his girlfriend.

Sungai Buloh OCPD Supt Mohd Hafiz Muhammad Nor said the call was made on August 23, with the suspect confessing to the murder at Kampung Baru Subang.

"When police arrived, the landlord told them the suspect and his girlfriend had rented a room at the back of the house.

The room was locked when police tried to open it, but the suspect eventually opened the door.

Checks in the room led to the discovery of a woman lying unresponsive on the bed.

Medical officers from Sungai Buloh Hospital confirmed that the victim had died and had been dead for more than four hours," he said.

The 47-year-old suspect was arrested at the scene.

It is believed the suspect choked the victim to death with his bare hands and it is also believed the attack stemmed from the victim feeling stressed out due to the suspect.

He has been remanded until August 30, and the case is being investigated for murder.

"The police are taking the matter seriously and urge everyone to remain calm, not speculate on the case, and not take any actions that go against the law," he said.
