Level One heat wave recorded in several areas nationwide


PETALING JAYA: A Level 1 or alert-level heat wave has been detected in six areas nationwide, including three in the Peninsular and another three in Sabah and Sarawak.

The Malaysian Meteorological Department, on its website said as at 4pm on Sunday (Aug 3), Bandar Baharu in Kedah, Selama in Perak and Temerloh in Pahang recorded temperatures of 35°C to 37°C for three days running.

In Sabah, areas affected are Tenom and Pitas while in Limbang in Sarawak are experiencing hot weather.
