Firefighters battling bushfire in Port Klang


SHAH ALAM: Firefighters are still battling a 0.8ha bushfire in Pandamaran, Port Klang, near here on Thursday (July 31) night.

Selangor Fire and Rescue Department assistant operations director Ahmad Mukhlis Mokhtar reported that firefighting efforts have been ongoing since the team arrived at the scene around 7.20pm.

"The department was alerted to the incident via a call at 6.58pm, and a team from the Andalas Fire and Rescue Station (BBP) was immediately dispatched," he said.

He noted that the operation to contain the fire involved a team of eight firefighters.

Earlier, an 11-second video clip showing raging flames, believed to be near an industrial area, went viral on social media. – Bernama
