Uni student from China found dead in Sepang hostel


SEPANG:A 20-year-old private university student from China was found dead in his hostel room after experiencing trouble breathing.

Sepang OCPD Asst Comm Norhizam Bahaman said police received the report on the victim's death at 6.20am on Friday (July 25).

"The victim had experienced breathing difficulty before losing consciousness.

"Initial investigation showed no signs of foul play, and the body was sent to Serdang Hospital for post-mortem," he said in a statement.

The cause of death was determined to be pulmonary thromboembolism due to right deep vein thrombosis, he said.

"We have classified his death as Sudden Death.

"We urge the public not to speculate on the matter," he added.
