Bersatu appoints Hamzah Zainudin as election director

PETALING JAYA: Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainudin has been appointed as the election director of Bersatu, says the party's deputy president, Datuk Wan Saiful Wan Jan.

He said the decision was reached at Tuesday's (July 15) party supreme council meeting.

"I extend my congratulations to Datuk Seri Hamzah, who will oversee the election department led by Datuk Seri Ahmad Faizal Azumu," said Wan Saiful.

The meeting, he said, also saw the making of significant decisions, including plans for the annual general assembly and a dinner marking the party's ninth anniversary.

"Key efforts include fostering understanding with non-government political parties and preparing for the Sabah state election," he added.

He further noted that his proposal for forming a committee and mobilising the party's election department, which he called to be presented to Hamzah without delay, was approved.

"I hope this decision enables the swift appointment of the election department committee, allowing the party to advance more rapidly," he added.
