Authorities on alert for monk accused of molestation


SEPANG: All entry and exit points in the country are on high alert for a monk allegedly involved in molesting a former beauty pageant winner here.

"We are monitoring all of the country's exit points, and the suspect is still being traced.

"A total of nine people have been called for statements, including those from the temple management," he said when contacted.

Previously, the victim alleged in a social media post that the monk at a temple in Sepang had molested her.

She added in her post that the suspect had disappeared after the incident when she and her family returned to confront the temple over the molestation.
