Smoke from plane at KLIA linked to faulty auxiliary power unit, says source

SEPANG: A plane's auxiliary power unit (APU) is believed to be the cause of smoke emanating from an aircraft seen at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) on Thursday (July 10).

The incident occurred at Terminal One earlier that day at around 9.50am.

Sources indicate that checks performed on the aircraft did not reveal any "abnormalities."

Efforts to obtain comments from Malaysia Airports Holdings Berhad (MAHB) are ongoing.

Previously, a video of the incident was circulated online.
