KUALA LUMPUR: A salesman pleaded not guilty in the Sessions Court here Tuesday (July 8) to fraud involving the sale and purchase of gloves totalling RM5.1mil, five years ago.

P. Dinesh, 36, together with the director of Aspen Broadway Sdn Bhd, who has been charged with the offence, was alleged to have deceived an individual into believing that 150,000 boxes of Hartalega brand COATS nitrile examination gloves were already in stock at Hartalega Sdn Bhd's warehouse.

On the belief that the gloves were already at the warehouse, the victim transferred  RM5.1mil through a law firm into a bank account belonging to another law firm that Aspen Broadway had appointed as the company's lawyer.

The gloves were supposedly for sale and delivered by Aspen Broadway to another company, but they actually did not exist.
