KUALA LUMPUR: The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission's (MACC) questioning of a Tan Sri regarding alleged misuse of sukuk funds in a highway project continued on Thursday (June 12).
A white Toyota Vios carrying MACC officers was seen entering the individual's residence at 8.45am.
One of the property entrances was sealed by auxiliary police from a private company, with cones and barriers placed at the gate.
Media personnel were prevented from approaching the area.
On Tuesday (June 11), the Tan Sri's statement was recorded over six hours, from 9am to 3.07pm.
MACC chief commissioner Tan Sri Azam Baki previously said the highway concessionaire is a key witness in the investigation.
Earlier reports stated that 45 individuals who had given statements were recalled to provide further information.
On June 3, the MACC disclosed it had seized assets worth around RM143mil in the probe, which centres on the alleged misappropriation of sukuk funds for a Klang Valley highway project.
Investigators are also tracing luxury vehicles and properties linked to the Tan Sri, including assets in London and Switzerland.
