Gaseous influent caused sewer line blast, says sewerage company


PETALING JAYA: A pink-coloured gaseous influent has been found to potentially be the cause of the recent shocking underground sewer line explosion in Penang, says Indah Water Konsortium (IWK) Sdn Bhd.

The national sewerage company said the influent was discovered in the sewer system after a preliminary investigation conducted near Lengkok Perindustrian Bukit Minyak in Bukit Mertajam, where the explosion occurred on Friday.
