Klang boat tragedy: Missing couple likely drifted away while boat was towed, says Bomba

KLANG: The Fire and Rescue Department has not ruled out the possibility that two missing victims of a boat capsized in the waters off Tanjung Harapan on Friday (June 6) were swept away by currents while the boat was being towed to the floating jetty of the Selangor Maritime Headquarters here.

Port Klang Fire and Rescue Department head Deputy Supt Haikal Jammy Ngali said from initial investigations, the boat the victims were on was towed by a public boat for 0.3 nautical miles before they received a distress call regarding the incident at around 5pm the same day.
