M’sia, Thailand tackle flood risks - Countries agree on early warning plan to enhance disaster response


GENEVA: Malaysia and Thailand have agreed to strengthen cross-­border disaster preparedness efforts, particularly in managing flood risks along Sungai Golok, says Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi (pic).

The Deputy Prime Minister said the agreement was reached following a meeting with his Thai counterpart, Anutin Charn­vi­rakul, on the sidelines of the 8th Session of the Global Platform for Disaster Risk Reduction.
