MetMalaysia forecasts bad weather in several states until 8pm (June 6)


PETALING JAYA: The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has warned about thunderstorms, heavy rain and strong winds in several states until 8pm on Friday (June 6).

In a statement at 4.45pm on Friday, MetMalaysia said the states affected are Perlis; Kedah; Penang; Perak; Pahang (Lipis, Raub, Jerantut, Bentong, Temerloh, Maran, Kuantan, Bera, Pekan and Rompin); Selangor; Negri Sembilan (Jelebu, Seremban, Kuala Pilah, Jempol and Tampin) as well as the Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya.

It also warned of bad weather in Sarawak affecting areas in Kuching; Serian; Samarahan; Sri Aman (Sri Aman); Sibu (Selangau); Mukah (Mukah); Kapit (Kapit); Bintulu; Miri (Subis, Beluru, Miri and Marudi) and Limbang.

Areas affected in Sabah are the interior (Sipitang, Tenom, Kuala Penyu, Beaufort, Nabawan and Keningau); West Coast (Papar, Putatan and Penampang); Tawau (Tawau) and Kudat (Kudat) as well as the Federal Territory of Labuan.
