Jobless man pleads guilty to robbing woman of jewellery in Kulai

JOHOR BARU: An unemployed man has pleaded guilty in the Sessions Court here to an armed robbery charge.

K. Murugan, 45, entered the plea after the charge was read to him before judge Datuk Che Wan Zaidi Che Wan Ibrahim here on Wednesday (May 28).

According to the charge sheet, Murugan was accused of using a machete to rob a 22-year-old woman of a gold necklace and two pendants.

The offence was committed at a bus stop along Jalan Bendahara near Taman Dawani in Kulai at around 8.30pm on Friday (May 23).
