IPOH: The late Lans Korporal Damarrulan Abdul Latif was always there for his wife and stepdaughters whenever he was needed.
His wife, Haswati Rosdi, 44, said L/Kpl Damarrulan had always been by her side, even when she suffered a mild stroke and mobility loss in 2018.
"He is really a good person who took care of me until I was able to walk again.
"He accompanies me everywhere, including to the hospital for my check-ups," she said at her home at the Federal Reserves Unit quarters in Sungai Senam on Wednesday (May 14).

Haswati said she last saw her husband on Monday morning, a few hours before he left for Teluk Intan.
"We had breakfast together and went back home to rest.
"He would kiss my forehead every time he goes outstation for duty, but he didn't on that day before saying our goodbyes," she said, adding that L/Kpl Damarrulan had joined the FRU six years ago.
"On Tuesday morning, he sent me a picture of him being in a truck at about 8.35am, and shortly after, I was informed that the vehicle got into an accident," she added.
