Immigration nabs 129 illegals at Cyberjaya construction site


PUTRAJAYA: The Malaysian Immigration Department detained 129 undocumented immigrants for various Immigration offences in Ops Sasar carried out at a construction site in Cyberjaya following complaints and intelligence regarding the widespread presence of foreign workers who did not have any work documents.

Immigration deputy director-general (operations) Jafri Embok Taha said a total of 223 individuals were inspected in the targeted operation involving 81 people before 129, aged between 25 and 50 years old, were detained. Those detained consisted of Indonesians, Myanmar nationals, Vietnamese and Bangladeshis.
