Lawmakers: Delay subsidy rationalisation, power tariff hike


KUALA LUMPUR: Lawmakers from both sides of the divide raised concerns on how the United States’ retaliatory tariffs will impact the people and Malaysia’s economy, with the Opposition reiterating a call for Putrajaya to postpone the RON95 subsidy rationalisation plan.

At the Dewan Rakyat special sitting to discuss the impact of US tariffs yesterday, a Penang lawmaker voiced that the state will be the most affected by the move.
