Rafizi has resumed PKR duties after lengthy leave of absence, says Anwar

PETALING JAYA: PKR deputy president Datuk Seri Rafizi Ramli has returned to party duties after a lengthy leave of absence, says Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.

He attended the central leadership council meeting on Sunday (May 4) at Seri Perdana.

The Prime Minister and PKR president confirmed that Rafizi attended the meeting on Sunday (May 4) at Seri Perdana. The meeting discussed the results of the party’s recent elections.

"Rafizi was present yesterday. We discussed the election outcomes constructively, and everything went smoothly,” Anwar told reporters after the “Temu Anwar” programme at a local private university on Monday (May 5).

Reports had previously surfaced suggesting that several unexpected results from the divisional elections had stirred dissatisfaction within Rafizi’s camp, fuelling speculation that he was considering stepping down from his role as Economy Minister.

The PKR divisional elections took place from April 11 to 20.
