No issue accepting Bersatu members back into BN fold, says Perak MB

BATU GAJAH: Datuk Seri Saarani Mohamad does not see any issues in accepting Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu) members into Barisan Nasional.

The Perak Mentri Besar said it was a possibility as political relationships can change over time.

"Like I said, I have vast experience. We used to be enemies with one party, but now we are friends. Politics is a form of art.

"So let us not complain about things that might hurt others, because sometimes the very people we offend today may become our allies in the future,” he said at a press conference after launching the Taman Tasik Adrea housing project here on Saturday (May 3).

Saarani had been asked whether Barisan would accept members from the Perikatan Nasional coalition party.

Umno veteran Datuk Mustapha Yaakub had recently remarked that Bersatu should dissolve and its members return to Umno.

This followed Bersatu deputy president Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainudin's statement that the party was willing to cooperate with Umno.

"Different people have different opinions. We can't always listen to all of them.

"I always say I will follow God's script. He (Mustapha) don't need to worry about that," he added.

"Sometimes the opinions are genuine, sometimes they overlap or are provocations, I wait and see, as politics is dynamic," he said.
