No help yet for temple damaged by flooding

THE Sri Maha Athiswari Ambal Temple in Rantau, Negri Sembilan, has sustained extensive damage after being flooded, Makkal Osai reported.

Head priest Sri Shanmuga Seelan said the small river next to the temple overflowed into its compound after three hours of heavy rain on Monday.

The retaining wall at the entrance of the temple toppled while two small altars were also damaged, hampering devotees and staff from entering.

The temple has been flooded several times before but has not yet received help from local authorities and politicians to solve the recurring problem.
