Hajiji Remembers Pak Lah as a people-centric leader

KOTA KINABALU: Sabah remembers the late Tun Abdullah Ahmad Badawi as a people-centric, friendly and approachable prime minister during his six-year tenure, says Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor.

In conveying his condolences over the passing of Malaysia’s fifth prime minister on Monday (April 14), the Chief Minister stated that Abdullah had also significantly impacted the country’s economy.

“He had launched five Malaysian Economic Corridors, including the Sabah Development Corridor or SDC in 2008,” he said in a statement.

“It transformed Sabah into a livable, harmonious, and tech-savvy state,” Hajiji added.

He said this project had benefited the nation as a whole.

“Let us pray for his soul and may he be placed among the righteous,” he said.

Pak Lah passed away at the National Heart Institute at 7.10pm on Monday.
