Ayer Kuning polls: Seven nomination forms sold, says EC

IPOH: A total of seven nomination forms for the Ayer Kuning by-election have been sold so far, says the Election Commission (EC).

It did not, however, reveal the breakdown of how many were purchased by political parties and by individuals.

“We can only reveal that seven forms have been sold,” an EC source said on Friday (April 11).

Nominations for the by-election will be held on Saturday (April 12) at Dewan Merdeka in Tapah.

It is being called following the death of Barisan Nasional incumbent Ishsam Shahruddin, 58, from a heart attack on Feb 25.

The EC has set polling day for April 26, with early voting on April 22.
