Hari Raya exodus: Traffic slow on KL-Karak Highway, LPT2, still smooth on NSE, LEKAS

SHAH ALAM: Traffic flow on several major highways was reported to be slow due to an increase in the number of vehicles on Saturday (March 29) night, Sinar Harian reports.

A check via closed-circuit television (CCTV) on the Malaysian Highway Authority (LLM) website at 8:40pm showed that traffic on the Kuala Lumpur-Karak Highway (KLK) and the East Coast Expressway Phase 2 (LPT2) was starting to become congested.

On the KLK, traffic was moving slowly due to the increase in vehicles, while on the LPT2, congestion was detected at KM433.39 heading towards Kuala Terengganu and in the Karak area heading west.

However, traffic flow on the North-South Expressway (PLUS) and the Kajang-Seremban Expressway (LEKAS) was reported to be smooth despite the increase in vehicles.

Highway users are advised to plan their journeys to avoid congestion and to adhere to road regulations to ensure everyone's safety.

The latest traffic information can be obtained through the official LLM website or by contacting the Traffic Info hotline at 1-800-88-7752.
