Anwar extends well wishes on King’s official birthday


KUALA LUMPUR: The Prime Minister conveyed his heartiest congratulations to His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim, King of Malaysia, in conjunction with Tuanku’s official birthday celebration.

Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim (pic) prayed for the Ruler and the entire royal family to always be blessed with Allah’s mercy and guidance, and to remain in good health, prosperity and sovereignty.

“With utmost respect to His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim, the Sovereign Ruler of the State and Territories of Johor Darul Ta’zim, the King. I extend my highest congratulations on the occasion of the official birthday celebration on March 23.

“May Allah preserve the Sultan,” he said in a Facebook post yesterday, Bernama reported.

Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, in his congratulatory message, prayed for Sultan Ibrahim to continue ruling with full sovereignty and wisdom.

“Daulat Tuanku. On behalf of my family, staff members of the Deputy Prime Minister’s Office and the Rural and Regional Deve­lop­ment Ministry, as well as the Umno leadership and members, I extend my heartfelt congratulations,” the Umno president said in a Facebook post.

MCA president Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong, who is the Ayer Hitam MP, also extended his heartiest congratulations to the Johor Ruler on the occasion of His Majesty’s birthday yesterday.

Communications Minister Datuk Fahmi Fadzil, in his message, prayed that Sultan Ibrahim, Her Majesty Raja Zarith Sofiah, Queen of Malaysia, and the entire royal family will always be blessed with Allah’s mercy and guidance as well as with good health.
