School toilet fixed in two days after pupil complained to Anwar

PETALING JAYA: All it took was two days for broken toilets at SK Long Jaafar in Kamunting, Perak to be fixed following a complaint by a pupil to Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.

The pupil, who met Anwar during his visit to the Ramadan bazaar in Kamunting had informed him that 'two toilets are broken, two are still usable' on Friday (March 14).

As of Sunday (Mar 16), the broken toilets have been fixed, said Anwar's political secretary Muhammad Kamil Abdul Munim on his social media platform.

"I have received an update on the direct complaint submitted to Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim regarding the toilet issues at SK Long Jaafar during the visit to Kamunting Ramadan Bazaar.

"The repairs have now been successfully completed," said Kamil.

He added that Anwar has consistently reminded all members of the Madani government to engage with the public directly and address urgent concerns swiftly.

In a 25-second video shared on his social media, Kamil included photos confirming that the broken toilets at the school have been fully repaired and are ready for use.

Earlier, a short video of pupils raising the issue of broken toilets at their school to Anwar, who stopped to listen and acknowledged them, had gone viral on social media.
