PUTRAJAYA: The 15 Palestinians to be resettled in Malaysia after their release from Israeli jail will be under scrutiny by security agencies, says Datuk Fahmi Fadzil.
The government spokesman and Communications Minister said the resettlement process has yet to begin, with the Foreign Ministry monitoring ongoing developments in Gaza.
"Aspects such as their movement and locations will come under strict enforcement by our security agencies which will also place strict conditions on their activities," Fahmi said during his weekly post-Cabinet briefing here on Wednesday (March 19).

Fahmi said the 15 were from a group of 380 Palestinians serving over 20 years' imprisonment each in Israel but recently freed under the ceasefire deal for the release of hostages.
However, these freed prisoners could not remain in Gaza but must be resettled elsewhere.
Fahmi said about 100 would be resettled in Qatar and another 100 in Turkiye.
On Tuesday (March 18), Foreign Minister Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan said Malaysia was prepared to accept the 15 Palestinians.
