Ipoh chef’s good eats and good business

A CHEF from Ipoh has won the Akshaya Chef 2025 award from a hospitality industry body, Makkal Osai reported.

Naresh Balakrishnan, 39, received the award at a ceremony hosted by the Malaysian Indian Chefs Association to recognise Indian chefs, hoteliers and restaurateurs.

Naresh, who runs his own restaurant in Perak’s capital, received the best chef award and the best business growth awards.

Makkal Osai reported that on Monday morning, residents at a Madurai township were shocked to find their cars damaged or crushed.

The teenager, who was detained and handed over to the police, told the cops that he was angry after a fight with his parents.
