Two KL cops nabbed over RM300,000 theft


KUALA LUMPUR: A police Inspector and a Corporal were detained in connection with the theft of RM300,000 cash.

Kuala Lumpur police chief Comm Datuk Rusdi Mohd Isa said the duo, aged 44 and 34 years old, respectively, were detained on Saturday (Feb 22).

"They have been remanded and we have opened an investigation under Section 380 of the Penal Code," he said in a statement on Monday (Feb 24).

He reminded the public not to speculate on the case.

"We will investigate the case thoroughly and ensure justice is served," he said.
