Form Two student injured in alleged hostel assault by senior in Kuala Pilah school

KUALA PILAH: A Form Two male student was injured after allegedly being beaten by a Form Four student at a secondary school hostel in this district on September 27.

Kuala Pilah OCPD Supt Muhammad Mustafah Hussin said the incident is believed to have taken place at about 11:40pm in one of the school’s hostels.

"Preliminary investigations found that the 14-year-old victim was called by the suspect following a misunderstanding between them before being beaten by the suspect, resulting in injuries.

"The victim was then taken to Hospital Tuanku Ampuan Najihah for treatment," he said in a statement on Thursday (Oct 8).

He stated that an examination at the hospital revealed the victim suffered a soft tissue injury.

Mustafah said police have identified the suspect for further investigation, and the case is being investigated under Section 323 of the Penal Code (punishment for voluntarily causing hurt).

The public is advised to not speculate or spread unverified information and to leave the investigation entirely to the police. — Bernama
