Sultan Ibrahim undergoes successful treatment

PETALING JAYA: His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim, King of Malaysia, has successfully undergone conservative treatment for musculoskeletal pain, according to a statement from Istana Negara.

The condition, affecting the muscles and bones, is attributed to His Majesty’s intensive military training and active lifestyle, particularly his passion for polo during his younger years, read the statement.

His Majesty, along with Her Majesty Raja Zarith Sofiah, Queen of Malaysia, expressed their heartfelt appreciation to the people of Malaysia for their prayers and well wishes.

“Their Majesties extend their sincere gratitude to all Malaysians who have performed special prayers (solat hajat) and continuously prayed for His Majesty,” the statement read.

Sultan Ibrahim is expected to return to Malaysia on Feb 21.

On Feb 7, His Majesty left for abroad to undergo medical treatment.
