Woman, 44, found dead inside locked bathroom in Perak


IPOH: A 44-year-old woman was found dead inside a locked bathroom at a house in Batu Gajah.

Perak Fire and Rescue Department assistant director (operations) Sabarodzi Nor Ahmad said that the incident took place at 9.33am on Saturday (Feb 15).

"We received a distress call from the victim’s husband requesting assistance to open the door.

"Upon arrival, medical personnel from the Health Ministry who were also present at the scene, confirmed her death," he said in a statement today.

Sabarodzi said that the victim’s body was handed over to the police for further investigation.

He added that the rescue operation was carried out using a bolt cutter following the department’s Saver (System Approach to Victim Entrapment Rescue) concept.

He said the operation ended at 9.46am.
