Senior citizen survives fall from elevated car park in Cheras

KUALA LUMPUR: A senior citizen narrowly avoided serious injuries after his car plunged from an elevated car park in Cheras.

The incident occurred on Sunday (Feb 9) at Pangsapuri Seri Malaysia, according to a statement from Cheras police.

The 78-year-old driver reportedly stepped on the acceleration pedal by accident while attempting to park his car on the fourth floor, causing the vehicle to crash through the wall and plummet to the ground.

"The driver was alone at the time. He sustained minor injuries and has been sent to Hospital Canselor Tuanku Muhriz for treatment," the statement said.

The building management has cordoned off the affected areas pending necessary repairs.
