PETALING JAYA: A Malaysian student pursuing higher education at an institute in Kure Kosen, Hiroshima, Japan, has been reported missing since Jan 27.

The 21-year-old female student, identified as Hannani, is believed to have gone missing and has been uncontactable since leaving campus at midday last Monday.

Additionally, they have contacted the police and attempted to track Hannani via LINE, Messenger, and WhatsApp but to no avail.

"We have also checked Hannani’s room and confirmed that she took her passport and wallet with her. We are now trying to reach other Malaysian students at Kosen.

"If there is any information, please contact the campus authorities. We will also provide updates if there are any developments and apologise for the delay in reaching out," they said.
