Back-To-School Rahmah Sales in Johor next month offering discounts on school supplies

KULAI: The Johor Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Ministry will offer up to 30% discounts for all school necessities during the Back-To-School Rahmah Sales Programme to help ease parents' financial burden.

Its director Lilis Saslinda Pornomo said the programme was scheduled two times next month, namely on Feb 8 and Feb 9, and Feb 15 and Feb 16, which would cover 26 parliamentary constituencies in Johor.

“The Back-To-School sale offers 10% to 30% discounts on school necessities, including long- and short-sleeved white school shirts, pinafores for primary and secondary students, school trousers, backpacks, shoes, and stationery.

“This initiative reflects the government’s commitment to easing the financial burdens of households through its Payung Rahmah Madani agenda,” she said.

She said this after visiting the Rahmah Sales Programme at Bandar Indahpura, here, on Sunday (Jan 26).

Lilis Saslinda added that the programme was designed to empower consumers by encouraging smart purchasing decisions and better household budget planning.

"The Rahmah initiative showcases the government’s dedication to ensuring affordable access to basic needs while fostering a culture of prudent spending.

“With these efforts, the ministry aims to support families during festive and school preparation periods, enabling them to meet their needs without excessive financial strain,” she added.

She added that the Back-To-School sale was supported by collaborative efforts with Ten Ten Supermarket, Sakan Wholesale Supermarket, and Green Point Departmental Store.
