SINGER and vocal coach Datuk Syafinaz Selamat has contemplated spending her later years in elderly care, Kosmo! reported.
The 52-year-old said modern eldercare facilities have improved a great deal over the years and she has been exploring options.
“I have thought about it and even surveyed some care homes, so I don’t rule out the possibility of living in one eventually.”
Syafinaz said she has often been asked why she doesn’t consider companionship to avoid loneliness in her later years.
“For now, marriage isn’t my priority. If I meet the right man who is easy on the eyes and understanding, I wouldn’t mind.
“The important thing is that he must understand me and not impose limits on what I want to do in life,” she said.
Syafinaz has been called a “vampire” in jest for her slim figure and age-defying appearance.
“Taking care of your body and mind is crucial. For me, a balanced diet is essential, along with maintaining a positive mindset.
“To stay young, your mind and heart must stay youthful. Live a joyful life.”
> Actor Datuk Aaron Aziz, 48, doesn’t want to be stereotyped, Berita Harian reported.
“I try to avoid the roles of a wealthy man marrying a village girl. As for violent characters, I’m selective to avoid being typecast,” he told a press conference for the drama Din Tiger.
“It doesn’t bother me because it happens to all artistes, even international celebrities.
“Everyone has their prime and as they age, opportunities change.
“For now, I’m thankful for the trust given to me. Whether it’s a lead or supporting role, it doesn’t matter,” he said.
