Wanted man nabbed for trying to jump off four-storey building in Johor


KLUANG: A 29-year-old wanted man was arrested for trying to jump off a four-storey building at Jalan Dato Haji Hassan, here.

Kluang OCPD Asst Comm Bahrin Mohd Noh said that the incident occurred on Monday (Jan 13) at 6.55pm.

“A police team were notified about the incident of a man who was trying to jump off from the third floor of the building.

“The man was eventually rescued by the Fire and Rescue Department personnel,” he said in a statement here on Tuesday (Jan 14).

He added that the man suffered no injuries and did not struggle during the rescue operation.

“We have also attempted to call his wife, but it was unanswered.

“A background check revealed that he has two wanted records involving drugs and crime,” he said, adding that the man was arrested under Section 15(1)(a) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952 for drug abuse.
