MetMalaysia warns of danger-level continuous rain in Pahang, Johor until Jan 12


PETALING JAYA: The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued a continuous rain warning for Pahang, Johor and several other states until Sunday (Jan 12).

In a statement on Friday (Jan 10), MetMalaysia said danger-level continuous torrential rain is expected over the states of Pahang (Rompin) and Johor (Batu Pahat, Kluang, Mersing, Pontian, Kulai, Kota Tinggi and Johor Baru).

It also issued a severe-level continuous heavy rain warning in Pahang (Maran, Kuantan, Bera and Pekan) and Johor (Tangkak, Segamat and Muar).

MetMalaysia also forecast alert-level continuous rain over the states of Kelantan; Terengganu; Pahang (Cameron Highlands, Lipis, Raub, Jerantut, Bentong and Temerloh); Negri Sembilan (Kuala Pilah, Jempol and Tampin); Melaka.

The same alert-level continuous rain warning applies to Sarawak in Kuching, Serian, Samarahan, Sri Aman, Betong, Sarikei, Sibu, Mukah, Kapit (Song and Kapit) and Bintulu.
