MetMalaysia: Thunderstorms forecast in Klang Valley, Sabah, Sarawak until 9pm on Jan 9


PETALING JAYA: Thunderstorms, heavy rain and strong winds are expected in parts of Peninsular Malaysia, Sabah and Sarawak until 9pm on Thursday (Jan 9).

The Meteorology Malaysia Department (MetMalaysia) issued a warning at 7.10pm of thunderstorms, heavy rain and strong winds in Selangor (Klang, Petaling, Kuala Langat and Sepang), Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya.

Severe weather is also expected in Sarawak: Miri and Limbang as well as in Sabah: Interior (Sipitang, Tenom, Kuala Penyu, Beaufort, Keningau and Tambunan), West Coast (Ranau and Kota Belud), Kudat (Kota Marudu) and Labuan.
