PAS questions bus blockades for Najib rally

PUTRAJAYA: PAS has questioned why authorities blocked buses transporting supporters to the solidarity rally for former prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak.

PAS information chief Ahmad Fadhli Shaari said he received reports that some buses were prevented from entering the administrative capital.

"As a government that claims to promote reforms, they should provide a safe space for people to gather," he said at a press conference outside the Palace of Justice on Monday (Jan 6).

"They should also make it easier for the rakyat to express their feelings," added Ahmad Fadhli.

When asked about a police report lodged against him for allegedly insulting Malay royalty, he said he would fully cooperate with the relevant authorities.

Amanah Youth announced on Sunday (January 5) that they will proceed with plans to lodge police reports against Ahmad Fadhli for allegedly making a comment demeaning to royalty.
