Actress’ career at risk after she missed premiere

MALAYSIAN actress Lin Min Chen’s (pic) career could be in jeopardy after another film director criticised her absence at the premiere of Warning From Hell in which she stars, calling her action “unethical”, reported China Press.

Just hours before the movie premiered in Hong Kong on Dec 6, Lin informed director Danny Pang that she would not be able to make it.

An upset Pang complained that none of the actors whom he had worked with had ever missed a movie premiere.

Wong Jing, another film director in Hong Kong, called Lin “unethical” and said he would not consider hiring an actor who behaved in such a way in his future projects.

He pointed out that even big-name celebrities such as Dayo Wong and Michael Hui were seen personally promoting their latest film The Last Dance at the premiere, and it was no excuse for any other actors either.

“It all depends on how much you value your own film. Don’t think just because you’ve had one or two successful films that you can start acting like (promoting a film) is above you,” he said.

It was earlier reported that Lin posted an apology on her Instagram, saying that a flight delay and passport issues caused her to arrive late in Hong Kong for the movie’s premiere.

Her latest film Warning From Hell will be shown on the big screens in Malaysia and in Hong Kong beginning Dec 12.

> Singer Fish Leong drew praises for her flawless skin after posting a photo of her face without makeup on social media, reported China Press.

The 46-year-old, who is from Negri Sembilan, uploaded on Weibo a photo of her in bed and dressed in pyjamas, giving her followers a rare glimpse of how she looked like at home.

“I’m going to sleep now. See all of you tomorrow,” she wrote.

Fans were wowed by how smooth her skin was, with many commented saying she did not look like someone who was in their late 40s.
