KUALA LUMPUR: Datuk Mas Ermieyati Samsudin expressed shock over Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Samsuri Mokhtar’s sudden resignation as Perikatan Nasional treasurer.
“Of course I was shocked, but I am not sure about anything else,” the Wanita Perikatan Nasional chief said when met by reporters at Parliament.
She said she the PAS vice-president was absent from Perikatan’s meeting on Monday (Dec 9).
“I don’t have any information as I was only recently appointed as (Wanita Perikatan chief) and had attended the meeting for the first time that night,” she said.
“But he was not there that night,” she added.
The Terengganu Mentri Besar announced his resignation from his position as the Perikatan treasurer on Wednesday (Dec 11).
According to PAS' Harakah daily portal, the announcement of his resignation was made through a brief statement to the Islamist party's central leadership.
