The Deputy Inspector-General of Police said that in preparation for the floods during this northeast monsoon season, his team has conducted a series of meetings at various levels with other rescue agencies to ensure quick and efficient actions are always implemented for the public's safety.

"We are always prepared to ensure swift action. Our readiness is certainly supported by other rescue agencies such as the Malaysian Civil Defence Force, Fire and Rescue Department, and the Malaysian Armed Forces (MAF).

"We have completed numerous meetings concerning preparations at the Putrajaya, state and district levels," he told reporters at the Flood Victims' Aid Distribution Programme at the Kuala Jengai police station on Tuesday (Dec 10).
