Heavy downpour leads to flash floods in Putrajaya

PUTRAJAYA: Heavy rain during the day has led to flash floods here, and footage of cars being submerged has gone viral.

Putrajaya OCPD Asst Comm Aidi Sham Mohamed, when contacted, said that a flash flood occurred between 4.50pm and 5.30pm on Sunday (Dec 8), within the Presint 11 area.

"However, water levels have rescinded. As of now, no reports have been lodged regarding cars being submerged.

"We also have yet to receive any reports on injuries due to the flooding," he said.
