Thunderstorms expected in several states, says MetMalaysia


PETALING JAYA: Thunderstorms, heavy rain and strong winds are expected in several states, including Perak (Kinta, Kampar, and Batang Padang) and Pahang (Cameron Highlands, Bentong, Bera, and Rompin) until 4pm on Sunday (Dec 8).

Other affected areas include Selangor (Hulu Selangor, Klang, Gombak, Kuala Langat, and Hulu Langat) and Negeri Sembilan (Jelebu, Kuala Pilah, Rembau, and Jempol).

The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) said in an advisory on Sunday (Dec 8) that Melaka (Alor Gajah and Central Melaka) and Johor (Segamat, Kluang, Mersing, and Kota Tinggi) are affected.

"In Sarawak, Kuching, Sri Aman, and Betong, and in Sabah (Tawau) are affected areas," added MetMalaysia.
