One attempt at IVF enough for now, says singer

AFTER his wife Genervie Kam failed to conceive a child through in-vitro fertilisation (IVF) last year, singer Hazama Azmi says he is not willing to go through the process again with her.

He said the process involved a high cost and he had used his savings recently to produce a new album called Pujangga, which was launched on Thursday, Harian Metro reported.

However, Hazama said both he and his wife have not stopped praying for a child.

The singer said he will leave the matter to God’s will, adding that for now, they will enjoy life as husband and wife.

He said Kam had to sacrifice much during the IVF process as she had to rest for long periods and avoid stress.

The singer said his job needed a lot of dedication and because he does not draw a monthly salary, he would grab any opportunities that come.

Hazama married Kam, a music director, on April 14, 2017.

> A total of 15 flood victims from three families have appealed to the authorities to save them after being trapped on the upper floor of a house in Kampung Senor, Meranti in Pasir Mas for several days.

One of the victims, Rosilawathy, 42, said they had to move to the upper floor after the water level rose suddenly, Kosmo Online reported.

She said they could not save themselves as her mother had sight issues and her father was old.

The woman said they were trapped for three days, with no electricity and food running out.

She said they were on the verge of giving up and didn’t know who would come to help them.
