Teen girl rescued from kidnappers in Shah Alam

PETALING JAYA: A 15-year-old girl was rescued from her kidnappers after police arrested seven people including two women.

South Klang OCPD Asst Comm Cha Hoong Fong said that the teenager's father had lodged a police report on Nov 18 after receiving a troubling voice message from her phone.

"The teenager had left her house at 4pm and her father had tried to contact her after she did not return home by 6.30pm.

"When he tried to call her, he received a voice message telling him to fetch her from a location in Subang and that she had been in an argument with a man," he said according to Sinar Harian.

ACP Cha said that however when the father went to the location, the teenager was not there.

"He then received another message via WhatsApp that the victim had been released somewhere in KL," he said.

Police managed to track down the kidnappers at an apartment in i-City, Shah Alam around 11pm.

ACP Cha said that police found the teenager unhurt and arrested three males and two females aged 15 to 19.

He said that following the raid, a second raid was conducted near Mid Valley Megamall in Kuala Lumpur a few hours later, which saw two more males, aged 16 and 18, arrested.

None of those detained had a criminal record, while all of them have been remanded to assist investigations.
