"He was also wearing long black pants. But I'm not sure if he was wearing shoes or slippers," the witness said during cross-examination by defence lawyer M. Athimulan on the sixth day of the trial Tuesday (Nov 12).

He was testifying in the murder trial of Deputy Supt Mohd Nazri Abdul Razak, who is accused of ramming his car into the victim’s motorcycle, leading to the teenager’s death.

DSP Nazri is charged with murdering Zaharif Affendi at the intersection of Jalan Taman Jati and Jalan Pekeliling Meru Indah near SMK Jati between 12.05pm and 12.40pm on Dec 15.

The case is being heard before Justice Datuk Bhupindar Singh Gurcharan Singh Preet.

The defence team also includes former Perak police chief Datuk Mior Faridalathrash Wahid and Aiman Hakim Kamaruzzaman.

He also asked if the witness had seen the victim revving his motorcycle, but the child said he was unsure.

The witness was also asked if he knew the distance between the mosque and the scene of the incident, and replied that it was between 5m and 10m.

Asked if he had recorded the incident on a mobile phone, the witness said he had not.

"I did not record it. I was (looking at) the victim who was thrown backwards and fell on the road.

"I'm not sure if anyone recorded it," he said.

On Monday (Nov 11), the witness testified that the car driven by the accused had run over the victim's torso.
