Military personnel detained for drug possession


KUALA LUMPUR: A 37-year-old military personnel was detained for allegedly possessing drugs.

Sentul deputy OCPD Supt Jasni Zolpa said the suspect was detained in front of a restaurant in Taman Kok Lian, along Jalan Ipoh, at about 3.30am on Wednesday (Nov 6).

"Patrol policemen from Jinjang police station detained him. We seized 6.75g of syabu, 31 pills and 1.49g of yaba pills," he said when contacted on Thursday (Nov 7).

The suspect also tested positive for Methamphetamine and Amphetamine, he said.

"He has been remanded until Friday (Nov 8).

"Initial investigation revealed that the drugs were for his personal use," he said.
